Chicago, 2009 – A cemetery as a crime scene.  Hundreds of graves in a historic cemetery had been ripped up in order to resell the plots.  Human remains were displaced, disorganized, scattered throughout the grounds, moved to unmarked mass graves.

Available for your aural pleasure is the second album by heavy chicago quartet Implodes. Recurring Dream is a dense forest of psychedelic swirl and drone, Drowned in Sound had this to say about the first album and it still applies here: “Black Earth isn’t a record you listen to, it’s a hole you fall into.” Available to order now at kranky.net/
